Bill retired on December 31, 2019 after almost 49 years at Cahokia Mounds as Assistant Site Manager. He started his career at Cahokia Mounds fresh out of grad school at Southern Illinois University – Carbondale and never left.  (adapted https://cahokiamounds.org/bill-iseminger-day/)

And he still has not really left. He still helps at Cahokia and is on the IAAA board where he is Rediscover editor and on the State Fair Task Group
